Job summary

Aramark is recruiting for a Patient Services Worker to support hospital and long-term care diet service operations. You will act as a liaison between patients, Food and Nutrition Services, and Nursing Services.

The role involves delivering meals, collecting trays, and ensuring diet orders are followed while maintaining sanitation and inventory on the unit. English proficiency is required.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service. Provides nourishments and snacks as ordered. Visits patients to introduce the Food and Nutrition Services.
• May obtain patient food preferences/dislikes from patients or family.
• Communicates all patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures nutrition diet orders are followed by offering menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards and cleaning schedules; assists with sanitation tasks as assigned.
• Maintains inventories of pantries, refrigerators, and freezers; restocks as needed.
• Keeps temperature logs for unit refrigeration.
• Understands therapeutic diets and consults supervisor/dietitian if issues arise.
• Assists clinical staff to meet patients' basic nutrition needs.
