Job summary

Aramark is hiring for a Patient Services Worker to manage patient diet orders and liaise between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services in hospital and long-term care settings.

The role involves delivering meals, communicating patient food needs, and ensuring therapeutic diet care orders are followed, with emphasis on sanitation and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
• Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerator, and freezers.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance from Supervisor or Dietitian if an error is observed.
• Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patients\' basic nutrition care needs are met.
