Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is hiring a Nutrition Services Clerk to support patient meals and diet adherence. You will collect and record food selections, assist in ensuring meals match prescribed diets, and collaborate with Clinical Nutrition and the IDT to meet nutrition needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to measure weights/volume.
• Basic math.
• Mandatory Reporter Training.
• Strong customer relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in assuring patients receive food according to prescribed diets.
• Maintains excellent customer relations, displaying a professional image.
• Offers appropriate food suggestions to patients in order to meet their needs/preferences.
• Reports concerns to RD's, Nurse managers, and other team members.
• Inputs patient's meal preference/menu choices.
• Delivers room service trays and late trays within target delivery time.
