Job summary

Ortho Rhode Island Wakefield is seeking a Patient Navigator who blends clinical and administrative duties to ensure seamless patient experiences. You will support physicians with patient care tasks while coordinating scheduling, documentation, and referrals across multiple Rhode Island locations.

The role requires a high school diploma (Medical Assistant certification preferred) and good EMR proficiency, with travel between RI locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a medical office or outpatient clinic.
• Certification as Medical Assistant preferred and beneficial.
• Proficiency with EMR software and standard office tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive clinic processes with the physician and team.
• Room patients, obtain vitals and histories, prepare for exams.
• Assist with clinical procedures and patient education.
• Manage scheduling, referrals, and follow-up communications.
• Obtain authorizations and verify insurance coverage.
