Job summary

Endeavor Health in Warrenville is seeking a Patient Navigator for part-time evening shifts (3:00pm-11:30pm) with rotating weekends/holidays. You will respond to clients, assess needs, and schedule mental health appointments while handling crisis triage and patient data accuracy.

The role requires an Associate's Degree plus 3 years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree, CPI and CPR certifications within 90 days, and healthcare/behavioral health exposure.

Responsibilities

• Responds to clients and conducts initial assessment to schedule mental health appointments
• Triage crisis calls and provide initial stabilization
• Register, review and correct patient information in the system
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for Blue Cross HMOI members

Hourly Pay Range:

$21.50 - $32.25 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Full Time/Part Time: Part Time (20 hours/week)
• Hours: Evening Shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) Rotating Weekends/Holidays required

What you will do:

Provides initial response to clients reaching out to the hospital. Conducts initial assessment of clients and schedules mental health appointments. Responds to and triages crisis calls. Registers, reviews and corrects patient registration information in the computer system. Verifies insurance coverage and eligibility on all Blue Cross HMOI members

What you will need:

• Education:

• Required - Associate's Degree plus a minimum of three years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred - Bachelors Degree in a Behavioral Health related field

• Certification:

• CPI certification within 90 days of start date into position
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association within 90 days of start date into position

• Experience:

• Maintain information as highly confidential
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision
• One year of previous experience in healthcare or a behavioral healthcare setting

• Unique or Preferred Skills:

• Crisis line or crisis intervention experience
• Substantial knowledge base of insurance plans such as commercial, managed care , and capitated plans (Medical/Medicaid/Workers Compensation.
