Job summary

Endeavor Health Careers is hiring a Patient Navigator for the Warrenville corporate center. Part-time (20 hours/week) evenings (3:00pm–11:30pm) with rotating weekends/holidays. You will respond to clients, assess needs, triage crises, and handle registration and insurance verification.

Requires an Associate’s Degree (or higher) with 3+ years experience or a Bachelor’s Degree; CPI and CPR certifications within 90 days. Prior healthcare exposure and patient confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Required – Associate’s Degree plus a minimum of three years of experience or a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification: CPI certification within 90 days of start date; CPR certification within 90 days.
• One year of healthcare or behavioral healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong confidentiality and professional boundaries are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides initial response to clients reaching out to the hospital.
• Conducts initial assessment of clients and schedules mental health appointments.
• Responds to and triages crisis calls.
• Registers, reviews and corrects patient registration information in the system.
• Verifies insurance coverage and eligibility for Blue Cross HMOI members.

What you will do

• Provides initial response to clients reaching out to the hospital.
• Conducts initial assessment of clients and schedules mental health appointments.
• Responds to and triages crisis calls.
• Registers, reviews and corrects patient registration information in the computer system.
• Verifies insurance coverage and eligibility on all Blue Cross HMOI members.

What you will need

• Education: Required – Associate’s Degree plus a minimum of three years of experience or a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Preferred – Bachelors Degree in a Behavioral Health related field.
• Certification: CPI certification within 90 days of start date into position. Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association within 90 days of start date into position.
• Experience: Maintain information as highly confidential. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision. One year of previous experience in healthcare or a behavioral healthcare setting.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Crisis line or crisis intervention experience. Substantial knowledge base of insurance plans such as commercial, managed care, and capitated plans (Medical/Medicaid/Workers Compensation).
