Job summary

Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, part of Covenant Health in Knoxville, seeks a Mobility Tech to assist with patient mobility, transfers out of bed, and ambulation in rooms and hallways. This PRN position offers day shifts with variable hours and opportunities to contribute to safe, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include following assignments from nursing or therapy, using proper body mechanics and lifting equipment, documenting timely, educating staff, and upholding safety

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient mobility including transfers from bed and walking in room and hallways.
• Receive assignments from nursing or therapy staff and perform mobility tasks with proper body mechanics.
• Complete documentation in a timely manner and communicate with patients and staff.
• Educate other hospital staff on proper transfer techniques and use of lifting equipment.
• Follow safety policies and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
