UNC Health Appalachian is seeking a Patient Mobility Technician to assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility exercises under the direction of licensed nurses. You will help promote patient comfort, independence, and recovery while ensuring a safe care environment in the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), athletic trainer, medical assistant, paramedic, EMT or other related field certification; or pursuing a health-related bachelor's degree within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with transfers, positioning, and mobility exercises.
• Promote comfort, independence, and recovery.
• Support nursing staff under licensed nurse direction.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient care environment.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, colleagues, and physicians.
