Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Mobility Technician to support patient mobility and ambulation under nursing supervision. The role focuses on safety, cleanliness, and teamwork within the rehabilitation team.

You will operate and maintain equipment, perform hourly rounding, and collaborate with patients and families to understand and participate in the care plan. The schedule includes three eight-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience assisting patients under supervision is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with mobility and ambulation under supervision.
• Maintain patient rooms clean and safe, following safety standards.
• Perform hourly rounding.
• Follow infection control policies and standard precautions.
• Operate and clean equipment safely.
• Assist with ambulation as trained by rehabilitation staff.
• Communicate with patients and families about the plan of care under RN direction.
