The Mobility Tech at Medical University of South Carolina supports patient mobility under RN supervision, assisting ambulation, transfers to chair, and exercising activities with lift equipment to ensure safe, effective patient movement.

Requires high school diploma or GED with healthcare experience or CNA, EMT, nursing student, or equivalent; BLS certification is required; ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work rotating shifts; comply with MUHA safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of patient care experience in a health care facility.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credential.
• Bachelor’s degree or enrollment in a healthcare program is acceptable.

Responsabilités

• Assist patient mobility: ambulation, transfers to/from chair, and practicing exercises.
• Assist with functional activities and use of lift equipment to transfer patients.
• Support safe patient handling and adhere to protocols under RN supervision.
