Responsibilities

• Direct Food Service staff during a shift and ensure tasks meet policy.
• Coordinate patient meal service through the patient services program.
• Provide training and create work schedules to ensure proper staffing.
• Evaluate workers, provide feedback, and complete shadow reports.
• Prepare QA reports and ensure unit meets quality, productivity and safety.
• Mentor employees and support advancement within the organization.
• Oversee catering events and day-to-day activities with vendors.
• Supervise Catering Associates and accommodate diet restrictions as needed.
• Interact with nursing to evaluate meal selection, trays, and delivery.
• Resolve patient concerns and maintain cash handling procedures.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
