Job summary

Phelps Health is seeking a Diet Aide 1 to support food service operations in the hospital. The role involves washing and sanitizing trays and utensils, transporting meals to patient areas, and basic food production tasks to ensure timely patient service.

The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and follow sanitation procedures. High school education or equivalent is preferred, with up to 3 months of on-the-job food service experience acceptable.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• A minimum of up to 3 months experience in food service which can be learned through on-the-job-training or previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and air dry dishes and pots/pans as per job assignment.
• Delivers patient meals to areas, timely to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Assembles patient trays per menu.
• Completes temperature logs and cleaning logs to ensure proper sanitation.
• Cleans and ensures neat and organized work areas including equipment within assigned job area.
