Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, Nevada is seeking a Diet Aide for per diem work. Under the supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, Supervisor, or Lead, you will perform patient food service and dish duties in a hospital setting dedicated to quality care.

Responsibilities include preparing items and patient meal trays according to diet orders and approved recipes, following food safety procedures, and stocking traylines and prep areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ServSafe preferred.
• Experience in food service or related nutrition role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items and patient meal trays accurately based on diet order, approved recipes and patient meal tickets.
• Uses proper techniques to ensure food safety, including hand hygiene, glove use, temperature monitoring and cleaning/sanitizing.
• Follows procedures for stocking trayline, prep areas and nourishment rooms.
