The role requires adherence to sanitation and safety guidelines, reading and following diet orders, and maintaining patient confidentiality in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will participate in training, attend in-service programs, and support departmental operations as needed.

Qualifikationen

• One year hospital or medical dietary aide experience required.
• Healthcare food service experience preferred.
• Valid Serve Safe Certification preferred.
• CPI obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Knowledge of state and local food code requirements.
• Ability to prepare food combinations that add interest and variety.
• Knowledge of safe food-handling techniques.

Aufgaben

• Performs defined work routines using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment.
• Provides assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of meals.
• Meets scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follows cleaning schedules and performs cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Assists in loading food carts and serving meals.
• Sets up the dining room and helps serve patients.
• Assists in receiving and storing food supplies.
• Attends departmental and in-service educational programs.
• Follow safety codes and sanitation guidelines.
• Upholds ethics and customer service standards.
• May perform other related duties as required to meet needs of Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital.
