Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a per diem Dietary Aide at Northwest Specialty Hospital in Reno, NV under the Food & Nutrition Services team. The role supports patient meal preparation, tray assembly, and food safety compliance.

Under supervision of the Director, you will prepare meals per diet orders, assist with trayline and nourishment rooms, and maintain clean, safe work areas. The position offers per diem scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Foodservice experience, or equivalent nutrition preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items and patient meal trays accurately based on diet order, approved recipes and patient meal tickets.
• Uses proper techniques to ensure food safety. Techniques include, but not limited to: hand hygiene, glove use, temperature monitoring/control, cleaning and sanitizing.
• Follows procedures for stocking trayline, prep areas and nourishment rooms.
