Job summary

Atlantic Health in New Jersey is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals in a hospital setting. You will assemble and deliver patient meal trays, restock stations, and assist in the tray line while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.

The role involves interacting with patients, monitoring food quality and safety, and supporting both patient dining and retail services. Previous food service or retail experience is preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• For Teens Ages 16 And 17: High School Diploma or GED will be obtained within 2 years of employment; valid working papers required.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of food service or retail customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver meal trays for patients, restock workstations, collect soiled dishes and wash trays.
• Interact with patients in taking meal orders and delivering trays.
• Monitor patient and retail food lines for quality, temperature and food safety.
• Inform department leadership of any safety issues on units, cafeteria or in kitchen.
• Restock products for patient use on the tray line.
• Remove trash from kitchen and maintain high presentation standards.
