Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a food service worker to prepare and serve meals in a hospital setting. You will assemble and deliver patient trays, restock workstations, and ensure food safety and quality at both patient and retail lines.

The role involves interaction with patients to take meal orders, maintain presentation standards, and support kitchen operations across units and cafeteria. Adherence to safety guidelines is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and delivers meal trays for patients and restocks items on workstations.
• Collects soiled dishes, scraps trays and washes, sanitizes and restocks flatware and silverware.
• Interacts with patients in taking meal orders and delivering meal trays.
• Monitors patient and retail food lines and trays for quality, temperature and food safety.
• Informs department leadership of safety issues on units, cafeteria or in kitchen.
• Restocks products for patient use on the tray line.
• Removes trash from kitchen.
• Maintains high standards of Atlantic Health System in presentation and food preparation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
