Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a patient meal service associate to provide excellent service, deliver meals, and liaise with departments on diet orders. You will use the food service software to record orders and ensure accurate meal delivery, while upholding CARE standards and patient confidentiality.

The role requires basic knowledge of food production, nutrition, and therapeutic diets, plus the ability to work a rotating shift including weekends and holidays.

Formación

• High School or GED equivalent; 1–3 months related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Ability to work the stated hours and communicate effectively with others.

Responsabilidades

• Provide excellent customer service for patient meals and snacks.
• Record patient and guest meal orders using the food service software.
• Coordinate with diet orders and other departments regarding meals.
• Deliver meals to patient rooms in a timely manner and assist with meal setup.
• PICK up trays after meals and document intake in the EMR.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and temperature logs per guidelines.
