Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. in Stratford, NJ is seeking a Food Service Associate to provide patient meals and support the cafeteria operation. Duties include preparing stations, assisting with tray delivery, handling food safely, and ensuring meals meet nutritional and cost guidelines.

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and a High School diploma or equivalent, with 6+ months of food service experience preferred. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors and staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Sets up and stocks assigned station prior to service and for next meal to ensure efficient meal service.
• May retrieve patient meal trays to ensure sanitary, safe and timely service.
• Maintains floor stock and records usage; handles food per sanitary guidelines and policies.
• Ensures recipes are followed to provide safe, nutritious, tasty meals that are budget compliant.
• May package, label and date hot foods; may be cross-trained to other duties; supports cleaning.
• Completes daily cleaning and other duties to maintain a sanitary environment.
