Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Associate to provide patient meal service and maintain sanitary food preparation areas. You will support tray assembly, meal delivery, and beverage service while following safety guidelines.

Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills and a high school diploma; 6+ months in food service is preferred but not required. This role involves rotating shifts and supports multiple areas of the cafeteria and patient meal services.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred. 6+ months in food service preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and stocks assigned station prior to service and for next meal to facilitate meal service and efficiency.
• May retrieve patient meal trays to ensure sanitary, safe and timely patient meal service.
• Maintains floor stock and records usage, follows proper sanitary and safety guidelines.
• Prepares or serves beverages and foods, e.g., coffee, muffins, bagels, or teas.
• Stores leftovers appropriately and uses them within the next day/menu timeframe.
• Cross-trains to support tray line, storeroom, and food preparation areas.
