Job summary

PVH Potomac Valley Hospital is seeking a Dietetic Assistant to perform a variety of food service duties in a patient- and customer-facing role at our Keyser, WV location. The role includes meal assembly, tray line care, dishroom tasks, and support for cafeteria service while maintaining high sanitation standards.

The assistant will follow standardized recipes, apply FIFO inventory controls, and participate in temperature documentation and equipment hygiene.

Qualifications

• Basic reading and comprehension of procedures.
• Ability to use basic computer applications (e.g., Word).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all work areas for operation per task assignment and maintains sanitizer strength.
• Sets up areas, restocks, cleans, and organizes assigned areas.
• Produces quality food items following recipes and portioning standards.
• Greets customers, takes orders, and serves with a focus on service quality.
• Addresses customer questions and defers to management for issues as needed.
• Cleans spills, manages trash, and maintains sanitation and safety compliance.
