Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a valid FSWP from MCHD prior to starting or obtain temporary FSWP by first Wednesday; must maintain throughout employment.
• May be restricted from handling exposed food until Temporary FSWP is obtained.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls from patients following customer service standards.
• Follows diet restrictions and writes nutrition details for trays.
• Uses EPIC and VST for patient information and menu requests.
• Prepares and processes meal orders for kitchen staff.
• Delivers meals and assists with tray delivery as needed.
• Ensures sanitation, safety, and HAACP guidelines are followed.
• Maintains supply of condiments and checks trays for missing items.
• Documents calorie counts and assists with patient education as required.
• Works with nursing and dietitians to meet patient needs.
• Shift includes weekends and holidays; 40 hours per week.
