Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in serving meals to patients, visitors and staff across the hospital. The role emphasizes courteous service, food safety, and accurate portioning while supporting a clean dining environment.

You will follow HACCP and HIPAA guidelines, handle tray delivery and meal preparation tasks, and work a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays as required, with a starting hourly rate of $18.72.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• To work every weekend.
• To work five (5) out of six (6) holidays.
• To work rotating schedule/shifts based on needs.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and take orders in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Prepare meals according to correct portions and guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation and organization of dining and service areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment and Health Touch system as needed.
