Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Food Service Associate to prepare and deliver patient meals with accuracy and care. This role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and adherence to dietary prescriptions while supporting kitchen operations.

You will work within a collaborative team to ensure timely service, proper portioning, and quality food handling in a high-standard healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains diet compliance and patient preferences within specified diet.
• Operates register and follows close-out/deposit procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, stations, refrigerators, and warmers.
• Performs sanitation tasks and daily housekeeping checks.
• Maintains documentation of temperatures, logs, and supply sheets.
• Posts menu boards and signs as assigned.
• Prepares and serves food according to portion guides.
• Stocks stations with food and supplies.
• Inspects china for cleanliness and chipping.
• Delivers/picks up food trucks and child care meals as scheduled.
• Follows HACCP, HIPAA, and hygiene guidelines.
