Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in serving meals for patients, visitors, and staff across the lifespan. The role includes taking orders, portioning, setting up dining areas, and ensuring sanitation and safety per HACCP guidelines.

The starting hourly rate is $17.57, with comprehensive benefits under our rewards package. Weekend and holiday shifts are required, with a rotating schedule and opportunities to contribute to a patient-centered dining experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Weekend and holiday rotation may be required.
• Previous nutrition/dietary knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Take and prepare meal orders according to portion guidelines.
• Assist with setup and sanitation of dining areas and kitchen spaces.
• Prepare food items and assist with pre-preparation tasks as scheduled.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and Health Touch system.
