Job summary

Boston Medical Center is hiring a Food and Nutrition Representative to deliver patient meals, assemble trays, and maintain carts and equipment. The role requires following diet orders, communicating with nursing staff, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.

The position involves working a full-time day/evening rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts, up to 40 hours per week, in the Food and Nutritional Services department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Minimum two years in food service or customer service.
• English literacy and ability to follow diet orders and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble meal service cart and companion cart per menu and diet orders.
• Maintain safe food handling and proper temperatures.
• Operate cart to refrigerate, heat and hold foods.
• Record and monitor food temperatures daily.
• Deliver meal trays to patient units within schedule.
• Assist with training new staff and provide clerical support.
