Job summary

Southern NH Medical Center is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist in setup and serving of meals across the facility. The role includes assembling meals from tray lines or kitchen, maintaining cleanliness, and sanitizing equipment and workstations.

The position involves setting up stations, serving in tray line areas, stocking and cleaning, and potential cross-training to support Customer Service duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• ServSafe Certification preferred; certification provided if not achieved by time of hire.
• 2+ years combined experience in food preparation, dishwashing, kitchen utility, customer service and/or cash handling preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up stations with food products and utensils as assigned.
• Services tray line station at mealtimes and stocks and cleans tray line position.
• Collects, cleans, and sanitizes soiled meal carts and food trays and returns equipment to proper area after cleaning.
• Prepares some cold food items using safe handling procedures; rotates stock appropriately.
• Cross-trains to assist in coverage for Customer Service Worker roles and can perform additional duties if requested.
