Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide to support patient meal delivery, tray assembly and food service in our hospital.

You will prepare and portion foods, assist with snacks, deliver trays, and help maintain safety, accuracy and temperature standards. On-the-job training provided; prior customer service or food service experience preferred. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, sets, and serves all food with proper temperatures and portion sizes.
• Performs minor food preparation and portioning tasks per policy.
• Prepares and gathers items for snacks/breaks and delivers to proper areas.
• Helps in tray assembly.
• Delivers trays to patients per procedures.
• Uses two patient identifiers to ensure safety.
• Double checks tray for accuracy and nutrition order.
• Ensures tray positioning and assists patients with tray elements.
• Picks up soiled trays and returns to kitchen for cleaning.
• Maintains food quality and temperature.
