Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Patient Meal Room Service Associate – PRN to support patient meals and nutrition service. You will take orders, enter them into nutrition software, and coordinate with nursing to ensure timely, accurate meals. Emphasis on safety, allergy management, and patient satisfaction.

The role requires experience in foodservice or customer service, Servsafe certifications within 90 days, and excellent English communication in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ foodservice or customer service experience.
• Servsafe Food Handler and ServSafe Allergen certifications required within 90 days of hire.
• Must communicate in English and have strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Take patient meal orders and enter into NFS software accurately.
• Deliver meals to patients and assist with menu selections considering diet and allergies.
• Operate a hospital call center for Patient Meal Room Service communications.
• Verify patient identity, diet orders, and ensure safe handling of meals.
• Assist with daily reporting and maintain clean, compliant work area.
