• Prepares sauces, baked goods and desserts; handles meat/fish/poultry prep and storage.
• Checks food for quality, serving temperatures, texture and appearance; makes adjustments.
• Maintains sanitation and cleans work area; follows department guidelines and procedures.
• Records production and usage; maintains temperature logs as required.
• Follows protocols for modified diets and consults with dietician for substitutions.
• Assists team during emergencies or staff shortages as needed.
• Adheres to hospital infection control and safety procedures.
