Abbott Northwestern Hospital is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support Food Services. The role involves preparing and delivering meals to patients, cafeteria, and events, while ensuring food safety and quality.

You will work 8-hour day/evening shifts and participate in an every-other-weekend rotation to support patient nutrition and hospital operations. The ideal candidate may have a high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years of food service experience; previous cash handling is a plus.

Formación

• Must be 16 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with preparation and set-up of meals for patients and staff.
• Follow cycle menus and standardized recipes.
• Assemble patient food trays according to dietary needs.
• Deliver and retrieve patient food trays; restock during meal service.
• Operate cash register when required.
• Maintain food safety through proper cooking, cooling and reheating techniques.
• Label, date, and store food properly; sanitize surfaces and equipment.
