Job summary

Intermountain Health at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT, seeks a PRN Nutrition Services teammate for afternoon/evening shifts, including weekends and holidays. You'll take patient meal selections, modify orders, deliver meals, and support tray assembly in a call center environment.

This role requires at least a Food Handler Permit or ServSafe in Utah/Idaho, strong customer service, and ability to work with modified diets.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe Certification is required by first day of work (required ONLY in the states of Utah and Idaho). Remote and off-site caregivers are exempt.
• Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Takes patient meal selections and modifies them using system standards to meet provider orders.
• Checks trays for accuracy during meal assembly.
• Communicates clearly to both clinical and culinary caregivers.
• Collects and inputs nutrition screening information
• May complete calorie count and nutrition analysis as dictated by facility
• Utilizes a computer to run reports and take orders.
• Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.
• Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (e.g., prepares salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit).
• Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (e.g. dining experience, meal delivery and maintaining required stock levels)
• Performs accurate credit transactions according to system standards and independently resolves basic customer service issues.
