Job summary

Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital is seeking a bedside nutrition associate to assist with patient meal selections and modify orders per physician diet orders. You will interact with clinical staff, patients, and families to ensure accurate, timely meal service within a hospital setting.

The role requires experience in food service or healthcare, a Food Handler Permit, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must have Food Handler Permit.
• One year of food service or cashier experience (preferred).
• Hospital food service or patient experience (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred).
• Coursework in Nutrition (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient meal selection per standard guidelines.
• Records and modifies patient meal orders based on physician diet orders and dietary guidelines.
• Communicates patient needs to room service and bed-side staff.
• Provides customer service and supports the nutrition care process using the meal ordering system.
• Delivers patient trays and participates in calorie counts and nutrition analyses as needed.
