Job summary

Intermountain Health Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City is seeking a PRN Food Service Associate to deliver patient trays, assist with meal preparation, and support dining services.

This role offers varied shifts: mornings, afternoons, and evenings, with opportunities to work across facilities. Prior customer service or food service experience is preferred and training will be provided to uphold sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required)
• One or more year of experience in customer service, food service or patient service (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.
• Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (e.g. salads, sandwiches, vegetables, fruit).
• Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (dining experience, meal delivery, stock levels).
• Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floors, and equipment.
• Performs accurate cash/credit transactions and resolves basic customer service issues.
