Job summary

Carolina Dunes Behavioral Health in Leland, NC is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal prep, service and sanitation in a hospital-style kitchen. You will assist cooking staff, prepare meals according to menus, and ensure safe handling and cleaning per infection control procedures.

We value a high school diploma, at least 1 year in institutional food service, and Serv-Safe or similar certification where required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years’ experience in a food service role in preparing food for institutions preferred.
• Understands safe food handling procedures; ability to operate dishwasher, stoves, ovens, mixers and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Washes/cleans and sanitizes kitchen cookware, utensils, dishes and service prep items.
• Cleans kitchen areas including cooking areas, prep area, restrooms, serving counters and dish washing area.
• Assists cooking staff in meal preparations and stocking of storage areas and coolers/freezers.
