Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks under time constraints and interruptions.
• Basic knowledge of unit weights and measures and basic mathematical functions.
• Prior experience in a patient care capacity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient trays and assists with menu selections.
• Loads and pushes hot and cold food trucks to patient units and operates lifts.
• Completes the menu rounds and verifies diet orders.
• Retrieves trays and restocks supplies in the kitchen area.
• Communicates with nursing, dietitians and food service staff about patient needs.
