Responsibilities

• Responsible for securing patient meal selections and special requests via telephone or face-to-face interactions.
• Follow proper telephone etiquette with patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.
• Offer alternatives to menu within diet orders while considering allergies, cultural and religious preferences.
• Ensure patient diet prescriptions are accurate by coordinating with nursing and dietary staff.
• Adhere to HIPAA, health, sanitation regulations and HACCP guidelines.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as required.
