Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Dietary Aide to enter patient diet selections using a hand-held computer, assist patients with meal choices, and explain basic diet information to patients and families. You will serve as a liaison to the Department of Food & Nutrition, provide tray delivery and nourishments, stock nursing unit pantries, and help resolve meal service issues.

A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required, with at least one year in hospital food

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• One year hospital food service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient selections in CBORD Diet Office System.
• Assist patients with meal selections and explain basic diet information.
• Act as liaison between patients and the Department of Food & Nutrition.
• Provide tray delivery and nourishments to patients.
• Stock food supplies for nursing unit pantries.
• Address and resolve meal service issues.
