Job summary

The Valley Hospital-Paramus in Paramus, NJ seeks a friendly Dietary Aide to enter patient diet selections using a hand-held CBORD Diet Office System and assist patients with meals. You will explain basic diet information to patients and families, deliver trays, and stock nursing unit pantries while maintaining excellent customer service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and at least one year in hospital food service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic computer skills.
• One year experience as a Dietary Aide in hospital food service or healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient selections in the hand-held CBORD Diet Office System.
• Assist patients with meals and explain basic diet information to patients and families.
• Serve trays and nourishments to patients and stock nursing unit pantries.
• Act as liaison between patients and the Department of Food & Nutrition.
• Address meal service issues and ensure high levels of customer service.
