Valley Health System is seeking a Hospitality Associate, Patient Services to support meals for patients and staff in a per diem role. You will coordinate with floor staff to ensure meals meet dietary needs, verify patient details, and prepare tray service with accuracy and timeliness.

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Ability to perform on-the-job training required.
• Ability to do simple calculations and record keeping required.
• Ability to interact hospitably and respectfully with all ages and disabilities of hospitalized patients and assist with meal selection required.
• Ability to work with limited direct supervision from department leadership, remain on-task and work efficiently throughout the shift required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and patients required.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates with hospital floor staff to ensure meals are provided to patients.
• Verify patient name, room, food order, preferences, allergies, and diet pattern.
• Assemble trays on-time while honoring patient diet cards.
• Ensure trays are delivered warm, correctly plated, and garnished.
• Interact with patients to gather feedback on meals and preferences.
• Follow procedures for late trays to complete delivery within 30 minutes.
• Stock refrigerator in nursing area and move warmers as needed.
• Prepare side dishes and receive/store orders.
• Check temperatures with Cook before serving and assist with plating.
• Research diets and allergies to support meal service.
• Clean and sanitize utensils and equipment; follow waste disposal procedures.
• Operate dish machine and record temperatures; maintain clean dish area.
• Label and date all inventory items.
• Report compliments, complaints, and concerns to supervisor.
