Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Guest Service Ambassador to assist with patient meals and snacks, ensuring compliance with Medical Nutrition Therapy orders and accuracy in tray assembly.

The role supports nursing and Clinical Nutrition, communicates dietary needs, and maintains safe food handling while delivering meals within established timeframes. Prior food service/healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or HiSET required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients for appropriateness for food selections.
• Assist patients and family with meal selections when indicated.
• Provides guidance to select foods that meet MNT orders and allergies.
• Communicates food intake problems to Clinical Nutrition Team and nursing.
• Assembles patient snacks and meals in compliance with diet orders and allergies.
• Delivers meals and snacks to patients and coordinates with nursing for points of care.
