Job summary

Tanner Health is seeking a Hospitality Associate to act as a liaison among patients, nutrition services, and nursing. You will take and modify meal orders, ensure accurate menu changes, and coordinate with patient services and dietitians to meet patient needs.

Strong reading, writing and spoken English are required, along with basic computer skills and the ability to think critically and solve problems. A 1,000 USD sign-on bonus is available for external hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 2 years of equivalent experience.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Basic computer skills expected; familiarity with meal-tracking systems preferred.
• Complete Food Handler training within 6 months of hire.
• Complete food allergen essentials training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between patients, Food and Nutrition Services, and Nursing Services.
• Obtain patient meal orders and modify menus accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patient services manager, nursing, dietitian and production staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of meal service areas.
