Job summary

Labcorp in Covina, CA is seeking a Patient Intake Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments and assist with registration.

You will enter patient demographics and billing data, verify insurance, and call physician offices to confirm test orders. The role supports a welcoming environment and requires a high school diploma; healthcare exposure is preferred; schedule is Mon–Fri 7:00 am–12:00 pm with rotating weekends.

Labcorp is seeking a Patient Intake Rep to join our team at 420 West Rowland Street Covina, CA 91722.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am – 12:00 pm and rotating weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and greet patients upon appointment arrival
• Ensure a welcoming environment for all patients and visitors
• Assist patients with registration and check in procedures
• Data entry of patient demographics and billing information
• Verification of insurance coverage and collect/post payments to patient accounts
• Call physician offices to confirm the accuracy of test orders
• Monitor and log patient wait times on a regular basis
• Notify the supervisor of any patient issues in a timely manner
• Promote and provide information about LabCorp patient services
• Manage office supplies to ensure proper inventory levels
• Open and close the office when necessary
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications: 1 year or more of patient facing healthcare experience

PIR’s may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Pay Range: $21.00 - $29.27 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data
