Job summary

Labcorp in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist to draw blood and perform specimen collection for a range of tests. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–11:00am, with possible overtime and rotating Saturdays. This role requires a California phlebotomy license and may involve travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid California State phlebotomy license.
• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience.
• Bilingual with Spanish and English is a plus.
• Color blindness test may be required.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

• Able to travel to additional sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid California State-issued Phlebotomy License

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience
• 1 or more years of current or prior Labcorp experience in phlebotomy
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM

PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.69 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
