Qualifications

• Cross trained in two or more Patient Registration areas required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• HIPAA rules and regulations familiarity highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance benefits and eligibility.
• Obtains pre-certifications and referrals for procedures or equipment.
• Registers/pre-registers patients and gathers detailed information.
• Keeps payors notified for procedures and coordinates with financial counselors.
• Monitors stat orders and time-sensitive accounts; uses Allscripts for outpatient work.
