Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ, is seeking a reliable food service associate to prepare and operate the patient tray assembly line, handle dishwashing, and deliver nourishments.

Responsibilities include serving at the Employee Cafeteria and assisting with catering, with cashier duties as needed. The role requires ability to read instructions and follow procedures; a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, with 3–6 months of on-the-job training and a possible food handler

Qualifications

• Read and understand written instructions; no previous experience required.
• Three to six months on-the-job training and orientation.
• Certification as a Food Handler or similar food safety credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate tray assembly line for patient feedings.
• Operate the dish machine and prepare special nourishments.
• Prepare and deliver trays; serve at the Employee Cafeteria or catering area.
• Perform cashiering duties for the Employee Cafeteria and manage sales transactions.
• Fill, replenish and breakdown stations (salad bar, snacks, entrees) as needed.
