Job summary

Touchpoint, a Compass Group USA company, is hiring for patient server roles at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. Full-time and part-time shifts are available, with 6:00 am to 7:30 pm schedules, 12-hour shifts, and rotating weekends.

A year of customer service experience is required, with on-site training and weekend differential. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $18.50 per hour, with benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Computer technical skills to operate hospital systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick-up, special requests and needs, and in-between meal food delivery.
• Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients when taking menu selections, delivering trays, and catering rounds.
• Takes patients menu selections prior to each meal and ensures dietary restrictions are followed.
• Assembles trays according to menu selections in a timely and accurate manner.
• Interacts with nursing staff to ensure dietary prescriptions are accurate and patient needs are met.
• Maintains accurate information for each patient on assigned unit(s).
• Assists dietitian with monitoring of patients who are NPO or on restricted diets.
• Adheres to HIPAA and facility policies; ensures confidentiality and patient rights.
• Completes daily, weekly or monthly reports as required by corporate policies.
