Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Public Safety Officer in Charlotte, NC. You will provide security services with professionalism and customer focus, patrolling facilities and guiding patients, visitors, and staff in a safe environment.

This role involves responding to emergencies, de‑escalating incidents, and coordinating with law enforcement when required. The position is full-time with night shifts, 40 hours per week, and a pay range of $22.90–$34.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Candidate should demonstrate emotional intelligence and strong communication abilities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate when needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork with medical staff and law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Provides security services with a customer-service approach and professionalism.
• Patrols interior and exterior areas to identify hazards and ensure safety.
• Responds to emergencies, service calls, and incidents with rapid, appropriate action.
• De-escalates conflicts and uses force only when necessary and trained.
• Maintains uniforms and equipment in good repair and coordinates with leadership.
