Job summary

St. Luke's Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered laboratory team. You will perform venipuncture, capillary collection and heel sticks across all ages, ensuring accurate labeling and specimen handling in PSC settings.

The role requires participation in Epic patient registration workflows, outpatient EKGs, and coordination with the core laboratory to support efficient care delivery. A weekend rotation (every 3rd Saturday) is part of the schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered registration, laboratory and diagnostic services in PSC settings while maintaining professionalism and patient safety.
• Interprets orders, verifies patient identity, confirms test requirements, and ensures accurate order verification prior to specimen collection.
• Transcribes external orders into the EHR per workflow.
• Assists patients with kiosk registration and Epic registration workflows.
• Performs outpatient EKGs and routes studies to cardiology for interpretation.
• Collects and processes specimens, labeling accurately and following safety protocols.
• Maintains competency for respirator fit testing and infection prevention procedures.
