Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA/RMA certification or eligibility preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR; ability to document accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Clinical duties include vitals, injections, medications administration, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in Patient Care Team duties.
• Administers medications per provider orders; consults with provider or RN as needed.
• Performs vitals assessment and determines immunization needs and other health maintenance recommendations.
• Performs in-house CLIA waived lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, strep, etc.).
• Assists with referrals and tracking for routine visits and external providers; documents in EMR.
• Greets patients, escorts to examination rooms, and helps minimize waiting times.
• Maintains clean, safe patient areas; adheres to safety and infection control policies.
• Ensures accurate documentation of immunizations, vitals, and medication reconciliation in EMR.
• May interpret between patient and provider when necessary.
